Hi, Iām Courtney, the maker behind celyse studio! What started in 2019 as a hobby (influenced by my love of candles), turned into a creative obsession. After a year of experimenting with different waxes, wicks, vessels, and fragrance combinations, I officially launched celyse studio in 2021 while living in Colorado. My very first collection featured four scents (Cozy Night In, Citrus Bloom, Rise & Shine, and Oceanview) that are still customer favorites today. For me, candles represent creativity, hospitality, coziness, and slowing down, all things that help us savor everyday moments in a busy world.
Teaching candle-making classes
In 2022, I led my first candle-making class and discovered something truly special: sharing this craft with others. For me, teaching candle-making classes became a way to build community, spark creativity, and empower people to explore the art and science of scent. In addition to teaching classes, I expanded my product line to include reed diffusers and selling my products in person at markets and pop-ups.
A big move
In 2024, I followed my heart to San Antonio and re-established the business in Southtown, a vibrant, culture-rich neighborhood known for its creativity and community. Today, I teach mobile candle-making classes around the city and create every product in my cozy candles studio, which doubles as a creative classroom and gathering space. When you walk through the door, my hope is that you feel right at home, relaxed, inspired, and ready to pour something special.
